Giftback Box

There are 365 days in the year - I aim to raise £3.65 per day - to reach my goal of   £1,332.25 on this Go Fund Me page.

I’ve recently created a small charitable start up, Giftback Box, to help women and children who are displaced, living away from home, or estranged from family and friends to celebrate during festivities.

Ringing in the New Year    is often an opportune moment to celebrate this key event in our calendar with loved ones. Sadly, this isn’t the case for everyone.

It’s during the holiday season, or when  celebrating religious festivities such as Christmas, Eid, Diwali or Hanukah, when we are more acutely aware of being without those who may have held a significant place and presence in our lives previously during these special times. Having being estranged from my own family, friends and community,  at various points during the course of my life,  I only know too well the sense of isolation which is felt during what should be a joyous occasion shared with your loved ones.

Over the last few years I’ve been pondering over the idea of creating ways in which I, and hopefully others too,  can come together to contribute towards offering a helping hand to women and children who may be faced with hardship, isolation and loss, away from their family, friends and community.

As a country we spend a record £5bn over the holidays. Yet, so many go without. Your contribution, no matter how small, could change someone’s life.

This is a truly wonderful way to reach out and connect with others, especially during times which can sometimes feel challenging and difficult. Your donation can go a long way in making the festivities a more memorable time, bringing a little joy and cheer to those less fortunate than ourselves.

Your support will be greatly appreciated. All monies will go towards buying gifts for women and  children living away from home to celebrate the festivities.
