Bye bye Kidney (spare part)

Thank you for taking the time to read our story! For those of you who do not know I donated my kidney (spare part anyway) to Michele Zagar ( a wife, devoted mother, small business owner, and great friend) on April 2nd 2018. This has been a long and emotional process, and long awaited for Michele, her 3 children and loving husband
At a summer BBQ in 2005 I unknowingly met the woman that would receive my kidney nearly 13 years later. I have had the pleasure of knowing Jon and Michele through life's hills and valleys and am happy to see them grow more and more in love with each other every day. I consider them both part of my family.
I am honored for the opportunity to help in any way I can to extend Michele's life. So she may continue to raise her young children, run her business, and grow old with her husband. This is where we need your help! While I am fortunate to have a great job to return to after the 6 week recovery, I have not yet accrued vacation time/pay. This makes helping support my family financially strenuous. The month of April (early May) will be difficult financially. For my wife Amy, caring for our 5 children (ages: 6months - 12yrs) will be mentally, physically, and emotionally exhausting. Needless to say she will not feel guilty about ordering take out every night over these first few weeks, while I too will need her bed side manner.
