Help Josh Fight His Biggest Battle

Josh is a father to three children Reilly 12, Misha 9 and Oliver 5 and husband to Corrinna. When I asked Josh if I could create a Go Fund Me he told me “I want to help people and I find it really difficult to be on the receiving end”. This is true to Josh’s character. Josh and Corrinna are a hardworking and fiercely independent couple, who are committed to each other and supporting their family. Josh has reluctantly given his blessing to create this Go Fund Me for the sake of his family.
Josh has a passion for all things dental, assisting individuals in bettering themselves through education and loves to encourage and find humour in all things with his wicked resounding laughter.
Unfortunately Josh was shockingly diagnosed on July 4th 2019 with Stage 4 Unresectable (inoperable) Metastatic Melanoma. Over the past few weeks with PET scans and tests he has been informed the initial lesion has spread to numerous organs including innumerable and avid lesions on the liver, lesions in the stomach and small intestine. This has been a completely devastating shock for Josh and his family.
Josh requires urgent treatment to slow down the progression of the cancer. Unfortunately because of the size and spread chemotherapy, surgery and radiotherapy are not an option. Josh has started immunotherapy as this treatment option is emerging as most long-term solution. Unfortunately completing immunotherapy as a first treatment option is not currently covered by the Government with this type of melanoma. A large six figure sum is required to give Josh a fighting chance for a little more time with his family.
We hope this donation will give Josh the gift of time with his family, an opportunity to create more memories and will also reduce the financial burden that he is feeling. Josh will not be able to work for a number of months and unfortunately the bills are still continuous.
It has been a massive decision to choose the immunotherapy treatment. We as a collective want to encourage and support Josh & Corrinna as much as we can and are asking for help if you feel called to do so. I want Josh to feel encouraged, empowered, motivated, blessed and loved knowing he has his family and friends full support. We do not want him to be worrying about financial stress and instead Josh and Corrinna can focus on one another, their children and his health.
