Base Camp is a beautiful place to work, but have you ever noticed that it gets a little less beautiful throughout the day? Coffee cups pile up, the sink in the 1st-floor kitchen is teeming with dirty dishes before 1 pm. Yet every morning we arrive and the place is spotless. For that, you can thank the Base Camp experience team, and especially Graciela Juarez, our day porter.
Graciela is here every day and works long after all of us go home to make sure that every nook and cranny of Base Camp get the attention it needs to be a terrific place to work. She cleans up our messes, vacuums our floors, and scrubs our bathrooms, and she does it all while being one of the friendliest people in the whole building. Without her, we’d be up to our knees in used coffee mugs and catering trash in less than a week.
In the spirit of giving this holiday season, let’s show Graciela how much we appreciate her. Jake Roth and Anna Cipolla will take up a collection between now and December 18th to give Graciela a Visa gift card. Any amount you’re willing to spare is greatly appreciated!
