Gideon's Special Heart: Beat CHD

On December 9th, 2013, the strongest little man entered the world. Gideon Antal was born with a rare from of heart disease and after just 8 days of life, he underwent his first (of many) open heart surgeries. With his parents by his side, Gideon set off to show the world that no matter the odds, he was a champion over his disease. He is a MIGHTY WARRIOR!
Transposition of the Great Arteries, a large VSD, and Pulmonary Atresia, was the diagnoses' his parents were told. The doctors said "It's ok to be mad, you won't have a perfect baby." But they knew better. They took Gideon's diagnoses and prayed "God, this is your child as much as ours. We beleive you will use this only to glorify you!".
On delivery day they were excited as well as nervous knowing that Gideon was going to have an eventful life from the moment he took his first breath. But they knew God was on his side. Day by day Gideon was breaking expecations. He was doing better than anyone thought possible! In fact the Antal's were home just five days after his open heart surgery! Gideon took the doctor's expecations and turned them into the reality that God is above all things! He is with us every second of every day!
Gideon has been home since Christmas Eve and is doing great! However, since there is no cure for his disease, he will be having another open heart surgery over the summer. In fact by the time he starts school he will have had three surgeries! As if learning how to tie your shoes wasn't hard enough!
The Antal's are looking to raise this money to help put a dent in Gideon's doctor bills. Open heart surgeries are not cheap, but every penny spent on Gideon is worth it!
