Dear family and friends, as most of you know October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. About 1 in 8 U.S. women will develop invasive breast cancer over the course of her lifetime. An estimated 10% to 20% of those are diagnosed with harder to treat and more aggressive, triple-negative cancers. Our sister, Robbie Hoffman Fauvergue is one of them. Robbie is a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister and a true blessing to all who know her.
On February 14, 2012 Robbie received the devastating diagnosis of stage 4 metastatic, triple negative, non-hormone responsive breast cancer. She has undergone combinations of therapies including chemotherapy, surgery and radiation, and and has had some success in these treatments. As she continues treatment, we continue to pray for Robbie and are so grateful for the wonderful physicians and nursing staff that work with her and who are saving her life. Although there is currently not a cure, they give Robbie hope that she can continue to improve and enjoy being with her family and her grandchildren for many years to come.
The treatment Robbie receives due to this catastrophic diagnosis goes beyond her financial means. Any donation toward her medical expenses you are compelled to give, is appreciated beyond measure. We love our sister more than words can express and ask you to pray for complete healing as she fights for her life.
