<div>Seit 2023 reise ich regelmäßig für mehrere Wochen durch die USA, um wilde Mustangs in ihrem natürlichen Lebensraum zu beobachten und zu dokumentieren.

<div>Inzwischen durfte ich über 800 dieser faszinierenden Tiere in mehr als 20 verschiedenen Gebieten erleben – frei, wild und in Frieden.

<div><strong>Doch diese Freiheit ist bedroht.</strong>
</div>
<div>Jährlich werden rund 10.000 Mustangs durch das Bureau of Land Management (BLM) aus der Wildnis entfernt. Sie landen in Auffangstationen, wo sie oft jahrelang auf eine Adoption warten – viele ohne Erfolg.

<div><strong>Es gibt jedoch Hoffnung.</strong>
</div>
<div>Die Wild Horse Refuge in Craig, Colorado, ist ein besonderer Ort. Hier finden gerettete Mustangs auf über 30.000 Acre (etwa 12.140 Hektar) ein neues Zuhause.
</div>
<div>Derzeit leben dort rund 250 Pferde in Freiheit – sicher, respektiert und in einer Umgebung, in der sie heilen können. Es ist Platz für mehr.
</div>

<div>Im Mai 2025 durfte ich die Wild Horse Refuge persönlich besuchen.
</div>
<div>Dieser Ort hat mich tief bewegt.
</div>
<div>Die Ruhe, die dort herrscht, ist spürbar - hier können die Mustangs wieder Frieden finden.
</div>

<div><strong>Ende Juni steht eine wichtige Auktion des BLM an:</strong>
</div>
<div>Etwa 70 Mustangs aus dem Gebiet der Little Book Cliffs in Colorado werden versteigert – darunter viele ältere Tiere, aber auch sehr junge Mustangs (10 Monate alt).

<div><strong>Die Startgebote liegen bei 125 Dollar (aktuell 108,50 Euro).</strong>
</div>
<div>Die Wild Horse Refuge wird an dieser Veranstaltung teilnehmen und 
</div>
<div>versuchen alle Mustangs aufzunehmen, die NICHT vermittelt werden konnten.
</div>
<div>Dies trifft insbesondere meisten ältere oder nicht so "spektakulär" aussehende Mustangs.
</div>
<div>Dafür brauchen sie Unterstützung.
</div>
<div>Deshalb habe ich diese Spendenaktion gestartet.
</div>

<div>Wir (mein Mann und ich) beginnen selbst mit einer Spende von 300 Euro. Jeder Beitrag zählt – denn jeder gerettete Mustang bedeutet ein neues Leben in Freiheit.
