Giang Nguyen Fundraiser

Donation protected
Giang (Jen) Nguyen needs your help! Jen, was hit by a car while walking across the street on January 12th. Jen sustained significant injuries and currently is in ICU at Jefferson Memorial Hospital.  Jen is fighting, alert and still has her one of a kind sense of humor. It will be a few days before we have more information about Jen’s recovery timeline and we will continue to provide updates.

As many of you know, Jen donates a huge part of her time outside of EY to helping others.   She is one of the most selfless, caring and charitable people I have ever met.  Her personality lights up a room and all of those that she helps are blessed to have Jen in their lives.  It is our turn to give back to the person that has never asked for anything and puts everyone in her life so far in front of her own well-being.

We are raising money to cover the mounting medical expenses related to this tragic event as well as other expenses in caring for Jen, including her family's travel from Vietnam, and missed work for the many that are at Jen's side aiding her recovery on a daily basis.  Although Jen needs to be with her family through this unbelievably unfair journey, those of us that adore Jen can give in ways that will make an incredible impact.  We want so badly to take the pain away from Jen, and your assistance will help in ways that cannot be understated.

Thank you to everyone for expressing your support, concern and desire to help Jen and her family. Jen is so thankful for the outpouring of care, thoughts and prayers expressed from her EY family.

1/22/18 Update
Giang is out of the ICU and is now recovering in her own room in the hospital.  Giang has undergone several minor surgeries successfully, but has a long road to go in order to regain full mobility.  She is making great strides in her recovery and is starting rehab.  As we have come to expect from Giang, she is still maintaining her positive attitude no matter what is thrown at her.  Giang and her family would like to thank everyone for the outpouring of love and support that has been shown by friends and colleagues alike.  It has been truly overwhelming!

Giang’s parents were able to schedule an expedited visa appointment and hopefully will be able to travel to America soon to spend time with Giang as she recovers.  While we hope that Giang will be released from the hospital soon, she will have a challenging road ahead with her recovery.  Please continue to keep Giang in your thoughts and prayers.  Your support, in all its various forms, has been a critical part of her recovery.

2/6/18 Update
Giang’s mother arrived in America last week and is now with Giang as she recovers.  Giang and her family have asked us to extend their gratitude and thanks to everyone for all of the support you have shown her.  Her father will be making the trip over in the coming weeks to join Giang and her mother during her recovery.  Giang’s rehab is going well and she has been more energetic due to her treatment.  She is hoping to leave the hospital in the coming weeks so that she can continue her recovery process in a rehab center.  Please keep Giang in your thoughts; it means a lot to her and is something she greatly appreciates.
