Ghosts of War NY Reading

I've been working on Ghosts of War, the play about Vietnam veterans and really all veterans of combat, for almost ten years. After our production at Dobama Theatre in Cleveland in January 2013, I continued to shape and refine the script. Now, thanks to a cool director in New York, Joe Ricci, we have a great opportunity to do a public reading for several people who are potentially interested in producing the play in New York. We're doing two readings on Monday, November 6, 2017 in New York. At this time, I am hoping to raise funds to pay for the theater space, the actors and the director as well as some promotions.

Our cast includes Michael Cullen in the lead role as Jim Kyle (Capt., US Marines, Retired), whose 40-year-search to learn what happened to his best friend Danny Nicklow, PFC, First Battalion, Ninth Marines (aka, The Walking Dead), who was killed in a heroic firefight to help another company on Hill 861 at Khe Sanh in March 1967, drives the play. Kaleigh Cronin, Ben Maters and Nick Ritacco will play multiple characters throughout the play.

If you are able to support us in any way, I would be deeply and forever grateful, as I believe this play speaks to the universal challenges our veterans face when returning from combat, whether they served in World War II, Korea, Vietnam or Iraq and Afghanistan. Since we experienced the powerful impact Ghosts of War had on people of all ages and experiences at Dobama, I have wanted to it to reach a larger audience, so this is an ideal opportunity.
