Help Kids Who Lost Mother
I'm raising money for my best friend of 15 years, Jessica. Jess and I met when we were 5 years old and have been very close ever since. It's always been clear who her biggest role model was: her mother.
Two years ago, Jess's family received the news that their mother, Heather, had stage 4 breast cancer. Needless to say, they were devastated. Heather knew she needed to fight for her children and did until the day she passed, on October 28, 2014.
Heather left behind three amazing kids. Jessica, a 21 year old full time student and part time worker, Lauren, an 18 year old full time student and part time worker, and Tony, an 8 year old little boy. All three are left attemtping to cope with the loss of their mother.
Jess immediatly has to fill her mothers shoes. She is left with a mortgage, home owners insurance, regular bills, food, an 8 year old to take care of and not to mention her own bills. Her and I currently share an apartment so she has her own expenses as well. Clearly a full time college student who works roughly 20 hours a week cannot make these bills.
As alot of us know, life insurance policies can take FOREVER to go through. Until these kids get that, they are left with almost nothing. We NEED to help them in the meantime.
