Hey Everyone! To finish off my undergrad, I'm going to Ghana for 6 weeks as an intern with Unite for Sight!
I will shadow and help surgeons as they perform sight correcting surgeries for children and adults living in poverty.
We will also be performing eye exams, distributing medication, and prescribing eye glasses to those who need them.
As a person who has used glasses for 14 years of my life, I'm excited to finish off my schooling with something that means so much to me! I can't wait to help other people be able to finally see clearly! Any help is much appreciated!!
So you know where the money is going, here are my costs:
$1800 goes directly to the charity to be used for surgeries and glasses
$1,100 to fly there
$1,510 for food and housing (6 weeks)
$1,800 for the deposit to be a part of the internship
$1,365 for tuition
$45 for my immunizations
