Ghana Physiotherapy and Mission Trip

I'm currently in my final year of a three year Physiotherapy degree at the University of Nottingham.  My final elective placement before I graduate is an amazing opportunity to apply what I've learned, and learn more whilst working at one of the major hospitals in Takoradi, Ghana, as well as working in some of the remote communities around Ghana. 

I am organising this trip through a company called Work the World. They specialise in tailor made elective healthcare placements, with over a thousand student trips organised across a decade of experience in Ghana and across the world. Work the world also takes their social responsibility within these communities very seriously and understand that they have an ethical obligation to maximise the benefits of my placement and ensure only positive impacts can be made locally. With this in mind, Work the World will only hire local people to run my clinical placements, only purchase products and food from the local communities, use local landlords to rent my private accommodation and use public transport where appropriate.

I have chosen this as my elective placement because I have a passion for helping people and particularly people who are disadvantaged and unable to help themselves.
As a student, I have limited funds so will you help me on my journey to complete this degree and travel to help others?
