Life Assistance

Hey everyone,

I’m Beth and I am currently a veterinarian and a resident trying to specialize in the field of Emergency and Critical Care. My mother was recently diagnosed with Vascular Dementia at the age of 64 years. She has been having a very tough time coping with this disease, especially at such a young age. Last year, she was in and out of hospitals and was finally put into an assisted living in NJ where she wasn’t happy. I brought her to live with me, but sadly she needed more care than I could provide. We made the hard decision to move her into an assisted living 10 minutes away from me in Missouri. I have been doing the best that I can in caring for her and keeping up with her bills as well as my own bill on a resident salary, but it has been incredibly hard. I pay the assisted living $2550/mo so that at least I know she is cared for daily and then can’t pay my own bills. My water has been shut off before and I have additional bills piling up that I am doing my absolute best to keep on top of but I’m barely staying afloat. I am a very proud person and posting like this asking for help is difficult for me, but I figured it couldn’t hurt. I am the sole provider for my mother and myself and I am doing my best because she raised me to be the best person I can be and she was/is one of the strongest women I know. Please help in any way you can. Truly any help is greatly appreciated.
