Help Jorge, Shannon and Family

Christmas is a wonderful time of year, full of hope and surprise. For the Briones family, they were getting ready to celebrate the holidays with their three children. Presents had been bought, the tree decorated, and home ready to welcome in this childlike time of year.

Yesterday, the most horrific event occurred. While the family was out of the house, their home was broken into. Not only were items taken, but the thieves destroyed anything that was left. Can you imagine coming home from grocery shopping and walking into what could be compared to a war zone?

All of the family electronics were either stolen or smashed apart, including the kids gaming systems, headphones and other portable electronics. Christmas gifts that had already been purchased were taken, the childrens bikes and Shannon’s' jewelry as well.
Items that they couldn't carry, ( like the two large T V's) were destroyed beyond repair.
To add insult to injury, they destroyed the family Christmas tree and other holiday decorations.

They put holes in walls, destroyed doors and furniture.

To make this horrific situation even worse, their renters insurance had recently lapsed, so they have no coverage for any of the damage.

So, we have started this fund to help them salvage the holidays for the children and themselves. To help them replace items stolen and destroyed and to show them that people care and they aren't alone.
