Brandon's Healing Journey

Donation protected
This young man is Brandon.  He is in his twenties and he is fighting for his life. His distraught mother is my dear friend and I had to do something to help them.  Brandon was visiting with friends in Arizona and in a heartbeat, his life has changed.  During this Christmas season, the last thing Brandon or his family expected was for him to step out of a vehicle and be struck by a car, however, this is reality for them now.  As Brandon lay broken in the road, his family in Leominster had no idea until that dreadful call came.  This is the type of call that can fracture a family in a moment's time.

Immediately they gathered at his bedside in true Haschig fashion, in an Arizona hospital.  See, this is a family with tremendous faith in God and a family that loves and supports each other in amazing ways in both good times and bad. What they found was a young man that looked nothing like the Brandon they knew.  He was connected to life support, his face and legs shattered as he is clinging to life.

Brandon and his family have tremendous faith.  He has undergone an extensive 8 hour facial surgery and survived!  He has suffered what they believe is a diffuse brain injury and therefore, the future is uncertain at this time.  He has an extremely long road where he will face much pain, many surgeries and grueling rehabilitation.  Brandon is not yet stable enough to travel home to Boston.  This leaves his family in desperate need of a loving community of helpers.  The last thing a mother, father and family should do is worry about leaving the bedside of their son/brother.

Just a few of the enormous costs they face include airfare back and forth for from Boston to Arizona, temporary housing in the Phoenix area, food and bills while they are taking time away from work,  and with the Grace of God, medical transport for Brandon back to Boston when he is stable enough to travel.

This family's needs are immediate.  The road before them will be long and relentless.  Would you please consider helping Brandon and his wonderful family during this Christmas season as they all face the fight of their lives to restore their family unit?  Brandon's mother is my dear friend and a nurse for all her life.  She has spent countless hours at the bedside of complete strangers to bring them back to health.  I would like nothing more than to raise enough money among us to allow her the opportunity to be at the bedside of her son and for Brandon to have is mother near and her focus soley on his return to health.

Thank you so much for your consideration.  May you all have a Blessed Christmas this year.  Hold your loved ones tightly.
