Hurricane Florence Relief

It is true when they say “You never truly understand something until it has happened to you”. I think it may hurt worse, though, when it happens to your momma.

Many of us have been hoping and praying for Florence to go easy on our beloved North Carolina coast, but she was stubborn and strong – and she ruined my mom’s new home in Hampstead, NC.

2-5 feet of dirty flood water have swallowed the house, leaving all furniture and beds floating in the mess. The walls are already starting to mold. Electronics, antiques, our piano, pictures and so much more of my family’s life is gone. The house is completely unlivable.

My gracious friends and family – I am asking for donations to assist my mom, step-father, and 3 pups in temporary-living costs. She is currently waiting for FEMA assistance and is making plans to maintain her life without her home. We are beyond appreciative for help of any kind, and thank you all for your compassion and care.

I will continue to pray for and support all of those impacted by Florence, and favor you all do the same. God bless our State.
