Please help me travel to the DR!

Hello everyone,
I am happy to announce that I was recently accepted to travel abroad for two weeks over winter break to the Dominican Republic with URI! This is such a great opportunity, and it is an honor to be selected! This is a nursing-based trip in which we will be providing community service and promoting health and health education to villagers. We will be volunteering in prenatal clinics, senior centers, nutrition centers, head start programs, and in various villages. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for me, and I do not believe I will be presented with another opportunity like this again anytime soon. This trip would give me the chance to gain valuable experience that I can take with me into my future career. However, the estimated total cost for this trip is over $4,000 and although I do work very hard, this is something I just do not have. Therefore, I am looking for help from my family and friends to help me afford the expenses of this trip. I would really hate to miss out on such an awesome opportunity just because I cannot afford it. I have proved myself to be a hard worker in the past, and I would like to complete my college experience with this trip. Thank you so much!!!
