Cancer Treatment

I am Keith Reiter.  My wife, Linda, was recently diagnosed with cervical cancer.  It was a total shock.  We do not have any insurance on her.  I make too much for any type of assistance but I am not a rich man by any means.  We waited until we had more information before creating this.  Many of the friends and family requested that we come here so they could help.  We are humbled greatly by this.  I'm not one to go asking for money.  When the docs gave us the diagnosis, they referred us to MD Anderson which is an amazing hospital for cancer.  Upon reaching out to them, they requested $29,000 deposit before they would even look at her and that was for the initial scans.  Then they said it would be $106,000 to $360,000 for the first year of care.  We were devastated!  We have since went to Texas Oncology (Paris, TX Branch) to see what they could do.  They are absolutely amazing!  They informed us that she was in "stage one" which means it's early and more than likely surgery will take care of it with great chance of success.  FINALLY some good news.  At this point it looks like there will be some scans that run from $1,500 to $8,000 each and a hysterectomy which can run from $15,000 to $25,000.  If everything goes well that will be the end of it.  We are waiting on the appt. with the surgeon at this point to see what her approach will be.  I made the "goal" $20,000 as GoFundMe requires a goal and I didn't know what to put.  What I will try to do is keep a running tab of all our expenses here so everyone knows what the costs are.  First and foremost we need prayers.  Money will help but GOD is more powerful than the dollar.  If you feel like donating then it will be immensely appreciated.  If not then don't sweat it, but please pray for her.  If we make it to the other side of this and not seriously in debt then I will make every effort to make a monthly donation to a charity until I have paid forward every dollar donated here.
