Kato's medical treatment and rehab
Donation protected
This is the story of a once vibrant and amazing dog named "Kato". Kato recently suffered a traumatic injury to his left front leg, sadly requiring amputation and therapy. I wish I could say that it isn't so, but as with a lot of unfortunate injuries, this one does not have a cure nor a happy ending. I received a phone call from his vet, suggesting that Kato will most likely need his leg amputated, as there is no hope for the leg to ever recover funtion or normal mobility. I am heart broken and torn to pieces, and worse, Kato is sad and depressed beyond human words can describe. He says it all with his eyes and I know my boy and I can read his feelings. The worse part is, that I have been umemployed since July, when he became ill. The doctors don't know if it is a sheathe tumor in the brachial branch affecting the leg, or a brachial branch avulsion; a complete tear of the brachial nerves affecting the limb, branching out from the C4-C5 cervical vertabrae. Either way, the diagnosis and ultimately, prognosis for this condition is not good. I need as much help as I can get from friends and donors, to help me get him the treatment and help he needs . I had to quit my job to care for Kato as there was no other way or choice in the matter. He needed round the clock care and continues to this day; infact, I carry Kato down and up 4 flights of stairs 3 times a day and sometimes even four. I thought for a time he was going to be alright, but he's really taken a turn physically, for the worse. I am still unable to find work and could really use some help if anyone feels like donating to help me get Kato the help he needs during this time. Sometimes we all face a period in life where no amount of pride can keep one from asking for a helping hand to help the ones we love the most, and for me, that someone is Kato. Thank you for any donations you can make to help me during this tough time. Peace love and health to you and your loved ones, including your furry friends.
