Hello,
My name is Isabelle Keller and I am a dancer and circus performer specializing in cyr wheel.
Being a dancer first and a circus perfomer later I had seen cyr wheel only a few times but fell in love instantly, so in 2011 I bought one. I had no teacher, so for the first year I played around and figured things out on my own. Two years ago, I discovered that my passion for cyr wheel could be taken to competition with the first-ever world championships for mono wheel. I competed in the 2013 trials for Team USA and qualified. I went on to compete in the summer 2013 world championships and took third place for women. I was the only woman from the US team to place and the only US competitor to win a medal.
On March 14, 2015 I competed in the National Trials in Chicago and took first place in the woman's devision.
It is my dream to continue to excel at this sport as an athlete and as a performer and to always push my body to the limit. Competition is the perfect facilitator for this.
Now that I am on Team USA, I have the amazing opportunity to compete this June in Lignano, Italy, in the second World Championships . I feel so blessed to be involved in the early foundations of this sport and the making of its history. Because this is such a new sport, there is little to no sponsorship available to the athletes, coaches, and judges who are propelling the sport forward. In order for cyr wheel to continue to evolve and grow, our community must try to raise our own funds.
This is where you can help. I am going to need to cover the cost of my training, competition fees, airfare, room and board, as well as transportation. There are three parts to my journey, beginning with my trip to Chicago for trials, followed by a trip to Montreal to train with my coach, and ending with my trip to Italy for the World Championships.
The cost breakdown looks something like this:

*Team Gear-$180
*Costume-$200
*Room-$560

Total Cost = $6,600-7,900
(depending on flight costs, and lodging in Montreal)
