Getting Piper Back On Her Feet

As most of you know Piper is our pride and joy, she's one of our "children", and means the world to both of us, above all she is Julie's baby. While at home there isn't a time when they aren't connected at the hip... Last Wednesday (10-10-2018) she was out going potty and collapsed during the act, and yelping so badly that Julie immediatly scooped her up and drove her to the Animal Hospital that she works at. Piper was unable to keep her head level or straighten her hind legs enough to even attempt to stand. She was soon diagnosed with "Lepto", neurology issues and isolated from all the other animals there. Still being unable to walk and having to be constantly flipped, rotated and cleaned due to her messing herself. We were given the advice, a few days into this nightmare, to transport her to University of Florida's Vet Hospital in Gainesville, FL. Today we brought her up there and dropped her off for further specialist treatment and their neurology department. As her ongoing bill gets higher and higher, more than we ever expected this quickly, we don't want to ever give up on her just because of a dollar amount. We are currently looking at potential spinal surgery and a ton of medical boarding which currently sits at $400/day, and then therapy after all of that to get her walking again. We are doing everything we can, but we are asking our friends, family and other dog lovers to please assist in our situation, so that we can continue to focus the best treatment options on Piper and get her back on her feet, walking, running and her normal self.
