Getting started: Bloomington LGBTIQ Center

I am very excited to tell everyone who hasn't yet heard, Bloomington is getting its own LGBTIQ+ Community Center! We've been low-key working on this for about a year, and dreaming of it for many more, but its time has come. As tensions of divisive politics and violent acts escalate in our country, state, and community, the need is now for a physical safe and sober space for all ages to come together, access information, find resources, be free to be ourselves, find health services, and live in Pride all year long.
Over the past few months, many people have offered their help physically once we get a space, others have been donating items like ovens and freezers and tables, chairs, dishes, toilet paper, plastic & paper & glass & coffee cups, decorations, clothing, and ever more things keep rolling in! I had been storing it all at my house and in my storage unit, but we are out of space!
With all this abundance and filing for 501(c)(3) status, and applying for space to rent, I have come to the part where I need your help. This project has grown beyond the point where I can bankroll it, myself. So I am reaching out to you. I have 927 Facebook friends, if all of you would be able to donate $1, that would be about $900 depending on fees, which would pay for a separate storage unit for a few months!
If everyone on my facebook would be able to kick in $5, that would be $4,500, which would cover rent and utilities for a couple of months with deposit, and while we could have a space for a little while, we would need to come up with further months' rent through another fundraiser. If you could all give $10, we would have over $9,000, which would take care of: rent and utilities for a few months, filing for nonprofit status with state and IRS, admin. costs, and to get some supplies together. That's pretty great! But if you could all donate the price of a pizza - delivered (with tip because you're all nice people), $20, that would give us time and space and resources to get off to a rip-roaring start! We are planning a larger, longer-term GoFundMe later for rent, capital improvements, supplies and other costs of expansion to phase 2, stay tuned for more details about bringing back a Bloomington LGBTIQ legend. Just to be ridiculously clear:
I am the beneficiary of this campaign to fund the Community Center. I will withdraw the funds and, depending on the amount raised, will spend it as indicated in the updates. I will deliver the funds to myself by withdrawing them from GoFundMe into a personal savings account.
After we are incorporated, the funds will be withdrawn into a corporate bank account.
