Getting Pops back in his boots

On Tuesday October 2, 2018, our dad Ewok began to have symptoms of what he thought was the flu. The following day he took Nyquil and Ibuprofen thinking he'd just sleep it off. For the next few days he worked thru it because that's what he does...this guy does not take days off. Saturday night he noticed a rash on his stomach which had spread to his arms and back by Sunday. That night he became very weak and had body aches but he still believed he just had the flu.

A full week later, his symptoms were only progressively getting worse. On Tuesday morning the 9th, he came stumbling through the front door from work. His legs were too weak to even lift over the step into the house.  My mom Nicole rushed him to the Emergency Room and he was admitted to the Hospital and that's where our family has been since.

We've had various doctors working around the clock scrambling to properly diagnose him so they can come up with the right treatment plan. They're thinking he may have the West Nile Virus but we won't know until all of the tests come back.

He's had high fevers, tremors, headaches, and muscle paralysis in the lower half of his body. We're praying that the paralysis doesn't travel throughout his body and we're praying they find an answer to what is causing all of this. We're praying for God to give him drive, determination, and hope!

Our dad has been financially supporting our family of 7 for the past 24 years.  He is the hardest working man we know and even now, as he is lying in a hospital bed barely able to move, he is still worried about paying the bills. We want to do anything we can to take the financial burden off of him so he can focus on his rehabilitation. Any and all donations are greatly appreciated! Our family could not be more grateful! Aside from whatever money you can spare to donate, what we would appreciate more, are your prayers! Thank you again and God Bless!
