Getting Dan Back to Work

My brother-in-law, Dan Farel, fell asleep at the wheel on August 4, 2019 after working a very long day. The truck ran off Highway 44,  rolled over and was totaled, and he was very seriously injured with fractured vertebrae, ribs and leg. He was hospitalized and went through rehab at Mercy with the whole process spanning a couple of months.

He is now mostly recovered but needs to find a job. His family has been without income since August. He has walked to apply for jobs in Sullivan where he lives, but he thinks that the “labor” jobs will not hire him because of the liability of hiring someone with a back injury. He is ready to work, but it would really help to have a vehicle to get him there. 

Dan has worked hard for a lot of people, and it is my hope that if many of those people contribute a little, we will be able to get him a truck or work van so he can get around. His vehicle insurance is good through April.  He asked us to help  him find a truck that is simple enough that he can work on. If anyone knows of a decent vehicle that we could help him buy, by all means let me know! We hope to use some of the money to get plates for the vehicle and pay the sales tax. We will be happy to post a picture of the vehicle he gets.
