Getting Chelsea Started on Dialysis

My sister, Chelsea Roman has not had an easy ride in this life.  She was born premature and stillborn (then resuscitated), and as a result, has had life-long health issues and physical and mental impairments (including severe hearing loss), with the most severe health issue being kidney disease.  She's never had more that 20% kidney function, and they have been slowly declining over her 32 years.  She is now at less than 9% and it's time for her to start dialysis.  We lost both of our parents as youngsters (dad at age 5, mom at 23), and our support network is very small. Following our mother's sudden death from ovarian cancer, she received a prophylactic double mastectomy as she tested positive for a gene mutation (BRCA1 &2) that makes the likelihood of getting breast or ovarian cancer incredibly high.  Her body wouldn't be able to handle cancer treatment, so she opted for the surgery.  She's also had a history of blood clots, vertigo, and now has growths on her thyroid that need to be biopsied. She basically lives at the doctors office and in hospitals, and now she will be spending 9 hours a week hooked up to a dialysis machine.  

Her insurance won't kick in for a couple of months, (health care, BLAAAH) and so her and her husband will have to pay out of pocket for the very expensive dialysis treatment.  And so, we are looking for a bit of support to get her started so that at least, she doesn't have to worry about that.
