Getting BooBoo to the Finish Line!!

Donation protected
Kerwin "BooBoo" Clark's passion for horse racing started at the tender age of 9. He starting riding at the age of 16. He has been a jockey for 43 years.  His first big win was back in 1989.   He was up on Western Playboy in the Pennsylvania Derby. He has won over 3,000 races. On April 4, 2015 BooBoo rode in the Central Bank Ashland Stakes and was up on Lovely Maria. He rode the horse to a remarkable win. Just 3 weeks later, on May 1, 2015, BooBoo made horse racing history with a Blazing Kentucky Oaks victory up on Lovely Maria. We, as fans were cheering and crying with him. He took us on the ride of a lifetime.  Kerwin "BooBoo" has been an inspiration to many people. He is living proof that dreams do come true.  We have been cheering for him from the stands, from our homes  watching him on television bringing pride to our community and the racing community. "BooBoo" has given his family, friends, and fans a genuine part of his heart and soul. I hope, as a community that we can give back to such an amazing man. On, March 15, 2018, race 8 at the Fair Grounds, "BooBoo" was up on Ellashoo. He said it was an easy ride. She was dragging him around. In this freak accident, Ellashoo went down in a multiple horse spill. As a result "BooBoo's" jaw was broke in 4 places.  His jaw is being held together by 3 plates, screws, medal braces that is held down by strong elastic bands. He has 10 broken and displaced ribs, and 1 collapsed lung. He was in surgery for 4 hours to repair the damage. The Clark family is accumulating expenses, which includes his 32 year old handicapped daughter, Lacey. "BooBoo" is down, but not out for the count. He is determined to get back up and get to that finish line. We can make that journey with him. He is not able to work, so my mom came up with the idea for this page. My dad not only being a friend to "BooBoo," but one of his biggest fans is extremely supportive of my mom's idea. So here we are asking for your generosity and compassion to help such a wonderful family at this painful time. No donation is too small. Thank you so much. Let's help bring "BooBoo" back to the race track to cross that finish line. Much Love.
