Getting Back to Work and My Nissan CVT Just Failed

I quit my job in June in a large part to care for my grandmother who had fallen and broken bones. During this time, I wiped out my savings. When I was able to, I started ubering to pay my bills. This has been going great. I was almost totally caught up on older bills, from when I wasn't working.  Wednesday, I started having trouble with my car, a 2016 Nissan Rogue with only 134k miles. Today, I took it to the dealership and they took a look. It's going to need a brand new transmission. This is going to cost $3,800. When I questioned the service rep about why I was having to replace the transmission in such a new car, he said that the CVT is a new technology and this is a problem Nissan knows about.  I have no other way to work right now than to use my car. Even, if I get another job, I'm going to need my car to commute. I hate to even do this, but I don't know what else to do. Anything that you can give towards this repair would help me to start earning an income again. I would be eternally grateful for any help you can provide.
