Season 2 of my telenovela needs your support!

The Spanish word is 'telenovela'. My life has recently been a melodrama, and it's time for season two and a new story arc.
Hi, my name is Keegan, though you may know me better as the Snarky Platypus (@SnarkyPlatypus on Twitter).
Recently life has thrown a lot of things at me like a telenovela. I was hospitalised after the onset of an acute illness, a mould monster devoured my last rental property forcing me to flee it. My current line of work has contributed to my deteriorating health and I need to do something different (a Masters at University is the likely option) . All the drama has left me with minimal funds for living or even to organise the mess that is my life .
So this leads to my reasons for crowdfunding - I need a new computer (my last one was eaten by mould). Phones are wonderful things but I need a proper computer to create content or even to simply participate with further education . I have done the research and have determined a specced up MacBook Air 2018 is most suitable for my needs. This will cost $2000 AUD.
I also have a strong interest in foreign relations and it is likely this will form some component of my masters. A membership to the Lowy Institute will help increase my knowledge in this area - this costs $300/year.
What will donors receive from this?
1) My eternal gratitude
2) You will continue to receive my commentary on a wide range of topics through my Twitter account. Politics (Australian, Asian, geopolitics) is an area I like to provide commentary on and where I can provide a different perspective. I was born in Australia but am of Indonesian Chinese heritage and try to look at politics from multiple viewpoints including a non-Western point of view.
A computer will help me to potentially present these in different formats. A Lowy Institute membership will expand my knowledge of foreign relations and I will share my insights with my readers and followers.
3) But I also love to talk about other things too. I have a blog under construction called Top 3 songs where I share my top 3 songs for a particular artist and then readers can vote on their own top 3. Everything was ready for launch before the health issues reared their ugly head. Having a proper computer really helps with the workflow for this and I promise to get this running if I get the new computer.
4) It’s extremely likely I will start blogging on other topics . I love women’s basketball and tennis too. I used to run a popular women’s basketball blog a while back - Rantings of an Insane Platypus. I tweet about these sports a lot and packaging these into blog posts shouldn’t be difficult. A computer should help with this.
I don’t think my life will stop being a drama but you can make the second season a better one with some $$$! Thanks to all my in person friends, online friends and followers who have supported me through recent difficulties and hope to see some more on board.
