If you had the chance to invest in something that would definitely change the world would you? If someone told you to invest in something with a long-term maturation but that would result in high yields, would you? I know I would, the low risk and high yield is too compelling. If I told you that your investment would be in a child’s future, would you still invest? Meet Noah.  Noah is just 3 years old and can currently read at a second grade level and can do 1st grade math. His retention is amazing and his ability to recall and apply past conversations to present examples is inspiring. He is articulate and charismatic and often mistaken for being older than he is. For a pre-schooler this is great and we as parents are happy for the bragging rights that come with having an early learner.  We are very proud of him and are excited by his growing curiosity.  

This gift however, also comes with some challenges, especially now as we move into his pre-kindergarten year. He is still too young to test into a gifted and talented program and a publicly funded option does not exist in our neighborhood. Thankfully Noah has been accepted into The Alt School. This is a privately funded school that utilizes individualized lesson plans that allow kids to learn at their own pace. It fosters an environment of individual growth within a group dynamic. It encourages kids to test the limits of their boundaries because of the flexibility of the class structure. Noah would be able to gain the crucial social skills necessary for his age through interaction with his pre-k peers, as well as the freedom to explore the limits of his imagination, interests and academic capabilities.

We know that this school will provide an environment that will fuel his creativity and open his mind to limitless growth but it is expensive and is the reason for our present campaign.
