Help me get to the MAD symposium

Donation protected
The hospitality industry is suffering from a serious lack of staff and the problem is deeply rooted in its old-school, male dominant culture. Things are gradually changing but there's plenty of work to do if we want an industry that is appealing to all walks of life.
I want to work to improve the lives of chefs and open the door to more people that could have a chance at a great career.

Every couple of years a really great organisation called MAD holds a symposium to bring industry professionals, farmers, intellectuals and anyone with an inciteful point of view to discuss a topic that relates to food. It was created by chef Rene Redzepi as a way of changing the way we look at food. As Rene says, "a chef's responsibility has grown beyond that of providing sustenance for the duration of a single meal".  We have a greater social and environmental responsibility now than ever before.

The subject of this year's symposium is 'how – as individuals and as an industry – can we create a world where opportunities are available to all people.?' I applied to attend the symposium and was accepted! Dude to a system error on their end I've been notified very late and have next to no time to sort this out.
With the symposium being held in Copenhagen, attending is not as easy as it sounds so I need some help to raise the money by May 21nd for airfares, accommodation, attendance fee etc.

My intention is to come back armed with the knowledge to help improve the culture of hospitality, starting with my own workplace, the region I work in and finally on a national scale down the track.

How do we reach out to all walks of life and open the door for absolute equal opportunity? I believe that if we can answer this question we can move towards a sustainable industry that people want to be a part of and anyone can have a long and rewarding career in. The question of ethics in relation to the future of food has been raised and is still prevalent in our conversations, but the proposed subject for this symposium is a vital part of that conversation that needs to be addressed.

Any donations will be greatly appreciated and help me to make a difference in my field.
