Madison's Studying Abroad-Germany!

Hello everyone!
My name is Madison Bassow, and on March 15, 2016, I was accepted to go study abroad in Tubingen, Germany for the 2016-2017 school year!
I have worked extremely hard to get to this point, and am honored to have the opportunity, however, like most cool and exciting things, it requires a good chunk of change.
I am currently a junior at CSU Channel Islands, studying gender studies, and there has not been a day of my undergraduate career that I have not been at least a part time employee (I worked full time for 6 months of my sophomore year). I am a low income student, and am completely dependent (meaning I do not receive financial support from my parents) on federal and state financial aid and private scholarships to fund my educational costs (i.e. tuition and books). Unfortunately, due to circumstances that are outside of my control, the amount of financial assitance that I will receive for the 2016-2017 school year is significantly less than expected, and does not even cover my tuition for the upcoming year, let alone the cost of studying abroad.
I am trying not to be discouraged by my current financial situation, as it is not looking great, but it's not easy to ignore that fact that I don't exactly have $23,000 lying around to pay for tuition, insurance, room and board, and travel fees.
This is really hard for me to do, but I am asking for your help. I do not expect to fundraise the total cost, but anything helps.
And I know everyone says this, but I am 100% serious when I say I am just so incredibly grateful for the emotional support I have received in regards to this amazing, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that I have infront of me, as well as in regards to my higher education in general.
My first round of payments are due May 1st, so if you want to give a very belated or very early birthday or Christmas gift, here is your chance, folks.
This experience would mean the world to me, and with your help, I know I can do it!
