They've been assessed by as of this week by King County's CEA (Coordinated Entry for All) program and are awaiting an opening for housing. However, the system takes time and until then, they remain outside or riding buses to stay warm. Family shelters in Seattle remain full nightly and so far, have been impossible to get into despite their eligibility.
It may be a month before they see recieve transitioninal housing and they need funds to sustain them until that time.
I'm trying to raise $2000 immmediately. This would include 25 days at a Seattle-area motel ($1400), $500 for food, and $100 for anything else they might need.
Thank you so much for your help in caring for this family as they work hard to get back on their feet.
