Service Trip to Peru

Donation protected
I am really excited for this trip because it will not only be my first time out of the country but also my first time serving massive groups of people outside of school through chiropractic care.

Having the opportunity to go on a trip like this is huge for me right now because my passion for wanting to understand the power that this profession gives back to people has never been higher.

In school, I have come to realize a few things that are certain. Here are just three of them: 1) the body functions best with a well aligned spine, 2) chiropractors are well trained to align the spine, second to none, 3) loving service is my first technique.

Going off the last point, serving others is one of the best things you can do as a human being. It not only builds community, spirit, and purpose, but it breaks down barriers that often are the cause for resentment and hatred. Be the change you wish to see in the world.

This is the 'Wall of Shame' in Lima. It is a barrier between the wealthy and the poor, the have and the have-nots; making the contrast between socio-economic classes massively apparent. Aside from whatever political purpose this means to accomplish, it is a reminder to us of the borders and boundries created  to seperate people who will inevitably live different qualities of life. Chiropractic care, at its core, has the purpose to connect the body in a way that improves quality of life. As you see, the view I have of the world and the things I would want to accomplish in a humanitarian sense is parallel to the purpose of chiropractic - my future profession. This has become my passion.

It would mean a lot if donations of any amount could be given towards this cause, or if you could share this post/send good vibes! If you have any other questions about my trip, please reach out to me through social media. Thank you for your time!
