Get Well Lonnie!

A joint project by Jada, Ali and Janna. Hello friends and family, Yesterday, our dad and best-coparent Lonnie Powell had a serious accident when at the Whitehorse skateboard park with our little brother. He took a very intense fall and was quickly medevacced to Vancouver. After hours of waiting for results from the tests and scans, we can confirm that HE'S OKAY. The impact of the fall left him with a pretty bad concussion, a broken nose, a fractured skull and spine as well as stitches across his face and head. The trauma from the impact had caused a seizure. Thankfully all of his mobility, memory and sense of humor remain intact. The nurses and doctors are saying that the fact that he's been taking good care of his physical health saved him from worse injuries. Thank goodness. He's already asking the nurses when he can start up his cross fit training and tree house building again. All that being said he's in need of new glasses, dental work and long hours of resting from work and drumming. If you know him, (or even if you don't) any kind of support for him is hugely appreciated right now by our family. Whether it be a hug, a donation, a cup of homemade soup, love and healing thoughts, a message, etc. If you are in the Vancouver area, he does not have his phone with him but he's in the Burns and Trauma unit at Vancouver General Hospital until further notice and we know he'd love some company and hot tea. The Powell kids would sure love to be closer to him right now. WE LOVE YOU LONNIE! Remember to wear a helmet and tell the people who you care about that you love them.
