The Oxford Gargoyles need your help to take our show to the Edinburgh Fringe this August!
Our story:
We are The Oxford Gargoyles ; Oxford University's internationally renowned vocal jazz group. With a rich twenty-year history, we have achieved a reputation for our exciting and innovative performances of jazz, soul, pop and funk repertoire. Reworking classics and commissioning intricate new arrangements (in up to 12-part harmony!), we've delighted audiences far and wide. Now the Gargoyles want the chance to dazzle you with an unforgettable show at the Edinburgh Fringe.

Established in 1998, (before some of the current members were even alive!) the Gargoyles have grown from strength to strength, performing beyond Oxford, around the UK and abroad, with recent tours to Hong Kong, Macau and the US. We have charmed the Edinburgh Festival Fringe audiences for thirteen years. Now we are seeking to go up again for the 14th consecutive year.
Our performances have brought rave reviews (check them out below), with a number of five-star reviews confirming the Gargoyles as a staple of the Edinburgh a cappella scene. However, to get there, we need your help and support.
We have worked super hard this year to create a group that will perform strongly and thrive in Edinburgh - we truly believe that the opportunity to perform alongside some of the UK's leading a cappella groups for current gargoyles would be an extremely valuable experience.
To make this possible, we need funding to contribute towards the cost of accommodation, travel, promotion and venue hire for the group. We have worked hard to minimise costs in every area, and have done gigs all year to raise funds and hype! Our next challenge is to get to Edinburgh and sell out our shows.
