Get the Jacksons to The Mortons!

On the 11th August 2017 Lindsey Morton, a mother of two beautiful daughters, Harper aged one and Lexie aged five, was diagnosed with cancer. After many months of excruciating pain and many trips to her doctors they finally found a malignant tumour in Lindsey's spine.
The correct medical name is a Peripheral Neurofibrosarcoma/Schwannoma Nerve Sheath Tumour; but try saying that when you're drunk!

Lindsey also suffered from cancer when she was a child and lost a kidney and part of her bowels due to a malignant Wilms Tumour. After undergoing 12 months of chemotherapy and radiotherapy she was informed she would never be able to have children. A pronouncement that, thankfully, proved to be incorrect.

So to have another tumour as an adult came as an extreme shock to Lindsey, her family and her friends. Lindsey has since undergone two major operations on her spine, both being accessed through her abdomen and her back, to remove the tumour, spending hours and hours in surgery and has been in subsequent pain since her last operation.

Due to Lindsey's history, and having only one functioning kidney, her team of consultants have decided that regular treatments of radiotherapy and chemotherapy are just far too risky; so they applied for her to be treated by a technique called Proton Beam Therapy in the United States. An application that was thankfully accepted
We expect to have a date for her treatment in approximately four weeks time.

FANTASTIC NEWS! Right? Well yes, of course it it. BUT Lindsey will be in America and away from her loved ones for NINE LONG weeks. Her mum, the lovely Gill Morton, will be accompanying her; but her loving partner, Ben Jackson, her two beautiful daughters, and of course, her wonderful Dad, Pete Morton will unfortunately be left at home at this crucial period in Lindsey's life.

That's an extremely long time for a mother to be separated from two very young children and it's even worse for Harper and Lexie. If you think back to your own schooldays you'll remember that six weeks seemed like a lifetime (if only that were true for us now) so imagine what nine long weeks will be like for those two little girls.

So I'm raising funds to pay for Pete, Ben, Lexie and Harper to visit Lindsey for a couple of weeks in the middle of her treatment, which would be absolutely wonderful for Lexie and Harper, who are going to be separated from their Mummy for such a long, long time and it will also aid Lindsey's recovery having her loving family near her, so please, please give anything you can and please share this with as many people as you know.
Thank you so much.
