Give Sheena, Chris & kids a fighting chance

Donation protected
It is with a heavy heart I write this but we are clutching at straws trying to find options and ways we can help Sheena, Chris, Joel and Rhea during this indescribable awful time.

We're looking to raise 100k for a cancer drug which isn't available on the NHS to help with my sister's treatment. To put into perspective the drug we're going after is £17k per injection based on a minimum of 5 doses. With a target of 100k this would cover it as well a little extra should she need it.

This time last year we got the dreaded news that no-one would ever believe could happen to them. Sheena (age 40) has inoperable and incurable bowel cancer, now what we know as stage 4. We found this out after Sheena was attacked by a schizophrenic neighbour (who has recently been sentenced) whilst putting Rhea, 3 months at the time in the car. As if that wasn't enough in itself, Sheena was then delivered the cancer card and it's been a rollercoaster ever since.

In December 2021 Sheena started chemo. It knocked her for six but she put on a brave face for us, her kids and herself. You see she's always been a fighter, the strong one but the fight is running out and I have no option to plea and beg for support from the people around us.

Sheena has had two types of chemotherapy to date, including a targeted therapy. Earlier in the diagnosis it started to shrink and show some success but unfortunately in June sheenas body took a turn. She got sepsis and since then has had continuous infection after infection alongside numerous hospital visits. More recently a blood transfusion and an abscess has developed on her tumour. This has given the cancer the opportunity to grow at a rapid rate causing perforation.

We are now exploring options privately to speed up the attack against the cancer as the NHS, although incredible, hasn't been the quickest to respond so we are taking this upon ourselves. All we need is for the tumour to shrink more and that will lessen the impact of the other issues it has created and we believe the drug she needs is out there, we just need the funding to get it for her while we continue our search for the drug that's compatible. Or at least to give her some quality of life with her children so she doesn't spend her last month's on earth struggling financially.

Please share this far and awide and donate anything you can spare. Anything will be greatly appreciated from Sheena and from us.

Thank you for reading, sending lots of love to you all X X X
