Get PPAS Students to Washington D.C

On Saturday, March 24th, 2018, students from all over the country are uniting in the name of safety. In light of the recent tragedy at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, we recognize our responsibility to manifest the change we want to see in the world. Not only is it important to speak out, but to show up. We are planning to attend the March for Our Lives in Washington D.C. on March 24th. We are all excited to participate in this peaceful protest and are ready to exercise our First Amendment Rights. 

However, in order to use our voices by attending the march, we will need to pay for transportation to and from Washington D.C. Coming from the Professional Performing Arts School in Midtown Manhattan, the cost of this trip is not cheap. We are looking for you: our peers, teachers, and loved ones, to help get us there. Any donations will help us, be it $1, $5, or $500. All donations and contributions are welcome!

(Any and all additional funds will be donated directly to the March for Our Lives)

The March's Mission Statement: 

“March For Our Lives is created by, inspired by, and led by students across the country who will no longer risk their lives waiting for someone else to take action to stop the epidemic of mass school shootings that has become all too familiar. In the tragic wake of the seventeen lives brutally cut short in Florida, politicians are telling us that now is not the time to talk about guns.  March For Our Lives believes the time is now.

On March 24, the kids and families of March For Our Lives will take to the streets of Washington, DC to demand that their lives and safety become a priority. The collective voices of the March For Our Lives movement will be heard” (March for Our Lives Organization).
