Paul Miller was in a traumatic car crash on August 17, 2017 - Paul's 39th birthday. Beyond body inguries, Paul suffered a brain shear that caused severe brain damage and has left him incapacitated. Phsyically, Paul cannot walk, needs help to transfer into a wheel chair, and has some atrophy on his left appendages. Mentally, Paul's memories are jumbled and fuzzy. One thing is absolutely clear and that is his love and adoration of his fiance Jaime Lee Laisure and their three children. He speaks constantly and regularly about his need to be near them. Paul has made huge progress in his recovery and is at a stage where he would be able to have supportive care from home but there are some major challenges. Paul and Jaime's dream home in Saugatauk is far from the specialized doctor care he needs in Grand Rapids. Together, Jaime and Paul's parents have found a home closer to support and care that will be easily adapted to Paul's needs. It is a place close to family - so close Paul's mom can visit on her lunch break! And it provides direct access to specially doctors Paul will need for the rest of his life. We need to help Jaime secure this home, make accessibility upgrades, decorate the home with love, hire movers, and of course transport Paul to his new home.
