Ever since he could speak my brother was the sweetest boy I’d ever met. He hates when our parents hurt flys or spiders, he absolutely loves horror movies, dinosaurs and sharks, and he has high functioning autism, which is why I am here. I don’t like asking for money, but this is extremely important to my family. At the school he currently goes to he has fallen through the cracks. He is in grade 5 but is not up to the standard in that grade, and since we are in Canada he isn’t held back or failed. On top of autism, he has ADHD, so online school has been especially hard. He is online from 9-3 every day trying to learn things he can’t comprehend yet. But the school can’t do anything. That’s why he needs a special ed school to go to, but they are extremely expensive. One year costs about $20 000, and He is only in grade 5 as I had mentioned.
I hate asking for things, and I hope I don’t come across as needy, but I want what is best for my brother. There are already so little opportunities for kids with autism, and for him to fall through the cracks like he has is de stressing. If we don’t have enough to help get him into the school every penny will go towards getting him extra help and assistance.
I am my bothers older sister. I will do anything in my power to help get my brother into a school he needs. Even one dollar counts. Thank you.
