This year at the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival (KCACTF) I auditioned to take part in the Summer Open Jar Institute in New York City. Across the country only 120 students are accepted, and I have the honor of being selected for the program!
The Open Jar Institute is a five day long intensive where students take classes and workshops from professionals currently working in the theatre industry. I will be participating in the second session, July 30th- August 3rd. It's a once in a lifetime opportunity to network and learn from the best in the business. I am incredibly excited to have the opportunity to be a part of this. But first, I need to be able to pay for it. I will be covering plane tickets myself, so where I need your help is tuition and hotel fees. I would be eternally grateful for your help!
Tuition is $2,275 and includes five days of workshops and classes, studio fees, meals, as well as tickets to four broadway shows. There is also a $725 hotel fee which will cover a six night stay in a hotel in Times Square.
I will be paying a $500 deposit by March 24th, and the remaining $2,500 is due by May 4th.
I appreciate any help I can get! I have heard incredible stories about this program and I hope to take part in it. The open Jar Institute will be a massive step forward for me as an artist and as a human being. This is a huge opportunity for personal and professional growth and I hope to make it there with your help!
