My Mother Mercedes Francois born in the Canal zone in Panama city, Panama...in 1940. In 1962 My mother ventured off and Came to the United States of American , Where she came to join her Twin Felicia Francois. The two resided in Brooklyn N.y and has been two peas in a pod since. Unfortunatey in 2012, My mom had to have an operation do to Breast Cancer...She did all she had to do to fight.....and fight. In 2014 the doctors said she was in remission...She was a happy soul but didnt stop there, she continued to do all she had to do to keep her status as is...But 2015, She received the news that not only did the Cancer come back But it spread to her bones....With that being said.  She still put on her cape and Shield and back at it she went....She fought and fought and fought.  In Sept 2017, My mother decided to come to Florida to take a little break and have a little Vacation. Came to spend time with family and me her only child...We enjoyed the holidays and much needed time together Until God had the finally say....She looked at me and said Danixa "I am tired, I Want to go HOME"!!!!!!!After being selfish and not wanting my mom to leave me i had to realize, She took on a battle all by her self in N.Y and stood as strong as she could be, as sick as she could be and just kept going..She has shown her strength to me and many others that know her, or got to know her...I had to set my selfishness aside, Give her, her credit and let her fly.......My angel is not with me physical but in my heart,and in my soul she will always be....
At this time i am trying to not be selfish and get her back home to NY..To where she had family shes made along the way and for those that knew her and shared a part of her, can come and pay their respects before actually sending her on her journey....She was a joyous person with much laughter and a dancing soul,Most of all a very hard worker she was....Her wishes is to be free and sent off in the ocean, so she can travel to all places shes never had the opportunity to go to. And her wishes will be Granted.
