Get Martin Able To Run Again

Donation protected
This is Martin (aka the great white land shark) and we believe he is an American bulldog mix! He had an unfortunate start to life which resulted in him being dropped off at a veterinary practice by a concerned member of the public after they were approached by his 'breeder' who stated he would be thrown in the bin if they did not take him. My loving family cleaned him up and agreed to foster him until he had a home but it was love at first sight and he has stayed with them since.

Since then Martin has had a rocky ride that started at 4 months old when we noticed some abnormalities in his limbs. From that point, he has dealt with two hip surgeries, corrections in his forelimbs, knee surgery, kidney issues, skin allergies and recently a mass that has been removed. All before he has even reached 2 years old! He still has two, possibly three, surgeries on his hind limbs to go until he can have the quality of life he deserves. His surgeries have been so extensive and complex that he is currently being cared for at the referral practice 'Small Animal Teaching Hospital' in Liverpool and before this, he was under the care of an excellent orthopaedic surgeon by the name of Jesus (if that isn't a sign I don't know what is!)

Fortunately, Martin was well insured which, until now, has covered a large portion of his bills. Unfortunately, there is simply so much to fix due to the poor nutrition and terrible breeding he was subjected to at such a young age that his insurance policy has reached the £12,000 maximum and exceeded far beyond this with more surgeries needed.

Anyone who knows my father knows that he is simply too proud to ask for help covering these bills but many family and friends have asked if they can contribute to Martins's healing. The simple fact is, any other person would have heard all of Martin's problems and how long his recovery would take and simply given up on him; but not Neil. He is so close to finally being able to behave as a regular puppy (he has been on crate rest constantly from 4 months of age) and have a long, happy life.

We would be eternally grateful to anyone that wishes to donate towards this or even just anyone who reads this and thinks more carefully about the risks of uneducated and improper breeding. Neil is also always more than happy to just have a chat about Martin's case as he is very proud of how far he has come for only a year and a half old so any questions are welcomed!
Thank you!
