Getting lost dogs home!

Hi I am fundraising on behalf of the Dog trapping team search & rescue network https://www.facebook.com/groups/297059070692410/ This is a fantastic team of volunteers who give their time and energy searching for, trapping and hopefully, reuniting lost dogs with their families. I cannot imagine how awful it would be if i lost my dog and i knew he was out there somewhere cold and hungry. A lot of dog owners don't realise that when a dog gets lost it enters 'survival mode' this means that the dog priortises what it needs to do to stay alive. Water, food and shelter become it's main concern and every human, even the one that's looked after it for years, becomes a dangerous predator. Dog owners are puzzled and upset when their precious family member refuses to come to their call and in fact will do the exact opposite and bolt from the area. Therefore the dog has to be sighted, monitored from a distance and then trapped. We have dedicated volunteers to do this but specialised equipment would make their job so much easier and this comes at a cost. We would like to raise enough money to buy a thermal imaging camera to detect night time activity. This would mean we can find the dog more quickly, enabling us to help even more missing dogs.
