Get Lit - Part 1

UPDATE: The sign is up! Paul's Neon installed with the fifty percent deposit that was loaned to us, and will work with us as we pay down the balance. Main Street is a little brighter tonight.

If you haven't been to Main Street  lately, it looks amazing! The roadwork is completed and there are festival lights strung from the new street lamps forming a canopy down our block. New eateries are popping up and Majestic Repertory Theater is right in the middle of the mix.

Since opening our doors two years ago, one comment we've consistently received has been how hard it is to find our venue. We're ready to fix that...

Local business Paul's Neon Signs  is cutting us a great deal. Using an existing box donated by our friends at Las Vegas Oddities  across the street, we're getting a large sign to add to Main Street's vibrancy.

Although it's not neon, it is a very environmentally friendly LED array backlighting a piece of plexiglass emblazoned with our custom logo (Academy Engraved LET for you font nerds out there).

Because we were able to strike a deal with the company, we need to push forward with this now. The total cost on the project is $2,300. We borrowed 50% of the payment ($1,150) to put down as a deposit. The next 50% will be due upon completion. Paul's has received the permit from the city so they're anticipating ten business days for completion, which would put us at Oct. 5. Any donation over that will go to defray the GoFundMe fees (they take a percentage, plus $.30 from each donation).

We hope to reach our goal a few days prior so we have a check ready for the sign company.

Normally we have time to prepare a fun campaign with cool swag. However, the time crunch didn't allow us time to create. So, for every donation $100 and over, we will give you a pair of tickets to November's show "A Public Reading of an Unproduced Screenplay About the Death of Walt Disney."
