My son Josh Richardson has PTSD. He served in the US army for 8 years and fought in both Iraq and Afghanistan.
We tried the VA for help for over 2 years and nothing was accomplished. For all those that want to comment that the VA will cover this we tried their methods and they Failed . We had to seek private care thru Granite Mountain Behavioral Healthcare, in Prescott AZ.
Josh has completed the program and is doing fantastic, thanks to your help.
I am still in need of assistance to cover the expenses I have occurred.

What is PTSD:
PTSD is a mental health condition in which a person has experienced a traumatic event that causes long-term stress.
The traumatic event can be experienced directly, witnessed, or due to repeated exposure to shocking events.
A person can also have PTSD when trauma occurs to a close friend or family member.
The person may experience flashbacks, avoid stressful situations, or withdraw emotionally.
Diagnosis is made by a healthcare provider when the symptoms last longer than one month. Treatment involves medicine and therapy to decrease the emotional effects of the disorder and increase coping skills.
People with PTSD may also have other problems. These include:
Feelings of hopelessness, shame, or despair
Depression or anxiety
Drinking or drug problems
Physical symptoms or chronic pain
Employment problems
Relationship problems, including divorce
In many cases, treatments for PTSD will also help these other problems, because they are often related. The coping skills you learn in treatment can work for PTSD and these related problems.
