Jomson Jacob (30), a senior registered nurse in an aged care facility, Port Macquarie passed away on Thursday 28 November. He was on the cusp of obtaining permanent residency in Australia and bringing his young family to join him and begin a new life in the regional mid north coast of New South Wales. Today the dreams of Jomson’s young family lie shattered by the untimely death of their only provider and a sad cloud has descended on the Indian and aged care communities in Port Macquarie and Townsville by the loss of a loved member.
This tragedy has been compounded by the inability of his young wife and 3 year old son to grieve their loss due to them still being in India while his friends are battling the huge challenges posed by the delay and huge costs in preparing the deceased for transport from Australia to his loved ones in the small village of Vaikom in Kerala, India. With each day of waiting to see Jomson's remains visiting more and more devastation upon the family, Jomson’s friends have now opened a Gofundme page to raise money to pay for the costs of undertakers and transport. Any money left over would be used to support the struggling young family set up a new livelihood. We request everyone including all Indians around the world to take this young family into their hearts and ease the sorrow and suffering of Jomson's loved ones by giving generously. A bank account for Jomson’s funeral and to support his family has been set up in the names of Mejo Varghese, Roshan Abraham and Majo Franco Here are the details: *BSB 062592* *Account Number: 10928897*
