Get John to Paris One Last Time

My step dad, John, who is one of the most giving and supportive people I have ever known, was diagnosed with terminal cancer back in December (lymph nodes). Since then, while it has hit his spirits pretty hard and been very difficult for all of us to come to terms with, he has repeatedly said the one thing he wants to do is go to Paris again. It’s his favourite city in the world, but he hasn’t travelled internationally in many years.

I found out I’ll be going to Paris during Easter for work, and desperately want to be able to have John (and my mum, Susan, who he can’t/won’t travel without) join me, but they absolutely can’t afford the flights (especially with John’s medical costs) and honestly, neither can I. I am determined to get John to Paris however I possibly can, even if that means getting a loan out or something like that, but this GoFundMe is here for those who have expressed a desire to support my family in this.

The flights I’ve chosen (based on date and time) are $1,563 per person right now through Etihad, so that’s what I’m trying to raise money towards. If any excess funds are raised (which I’m ABSOLUTELY not expecting) they will go directly to accommodation to take that burden off my parents so they’re able to have a little more fun in Paris. Anything beyond that will be donated to cancer research foundations.
