Get Jenny to PH Conference!

Donation protected
My only sister (and life-long best friend) was diagnosed with a life-threatening disease, Pulmonary Hypertension (PH), when she was only 11 years old. Doctors and medical experts don't know the cause and they don't have a cure. PH is typically considered a progressive illness, which means the older the patient gets, the worse the disease becomes. She has lived with this terrible illness for nearly 18 years now and it has severely limited what she has been able to do with her life and what she can afford. She is the strongest person I know, and has fought PH to the core. She continues to fight and deserves to attend the PH Conference this summer. Attending "Conference" is Jenny's opportunity to travel and see her friends who also have PH. When she recently told me she was thinking she couldn't go to Conference this summer due to financial hardship, my heart sank completely. I decided I should start a Go Fund Me in order to get my sister to Conference!

We are asking for donations to help my sister Jenny Janzer make it to the Pulmonary Hypertension conference this summer: June 27th - July 2nd. Jenny was able to attend previous conferences by applying for a scholarship which is no longer available to her. Jenny is allotted a small amount of money from the government each month due to having such a high health insurance coverage - which she needs in order to survive. This makes it really difficult for her to save up money and to afford high cost expenses, such as attending the PH Conference.

The funds we are raising will cover the cost of Conference itself, round trip airfare from Wisconsin to Florida, the Conference hotel, the cost of renting a portable oxygen tank for the airplane, and getting Jenny to see the ocean for the first time EVER!!!

I was her travel buddy at the last PH Conference in Dallas, TX, and I can say that seeing Jenny at Conference was life-changing. I got to meet some of her closest friends who also have PH, I got to see my sister swim for the first time in literal years (we grew up on a lake, so this was a big deal), and I think I saw my sister - actually - happy for the first time since we were little kids. It was a happiness that lasted for days, not just a few hours. She laughed and stayed up late with friends. She wasn't thinking about how much her body hurt, or how rashy her skin was. She was able to be independent and away from home and have new experiences and make new memories. Conference is what she looks forward to - it is her one real chance to take a trip out of the state, and see some of her best friends that are living with the same illness and not certain how long they will live, either. It is so important to her. Please help us out if you can, any little bit you can donate is so appreciated. It will mean the world to my sister to go to Conference again, and will mean the world to me to see my sister happy once again!
