Jennifer and Ray are in need of a car as soon as possible so they can get to their jobs.
The 1997 Saturn they have now has died. The estimated repairs of $600 to $1,000 would cost more than the value of the car.
Jennifer works security jobs through an agency and does substitute teaching. Ray works kitchen jobs through a temp. agency. He has hernia problems and is not able to do the heavy physical labor he used to do.
Due to the variable amount of income they are not able to obtain a car loan from banks or the credit union. They would like to buy a used car for about $7000.
